A China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was held in Russia's capital Moscow on June 16th. A Chinese economic delegation participated in the trade gathering.

 

Headed by Mr. Jiang Yaoping, Vice Minister of Chinese Commerce Ministry, the Chinese delegation is composed of more than 300 businessmen from 200 enterprises.

 

During their stay in Russia, they had signed cooperative agreements in export and import trade, investment, technology and project fund-raising. It is estimated that the contracts signed between Chinese and Russian enterprises amounted to 3 billion US dollars.

 

The two countries' further economic and trade cooperation will focus on the fields of mechanical electronics, light industries, hi-tech, energy and resources development.

 

Co-organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and its Russian counterpart, the China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum aimed to better strengthen the two sides' cooperation and expand more development room amid the global financial crisis.
