Brief Introduction of the 3rd China Harbin Fair

The 3rd China Harbin Fair opened on June 15th, 1992 in Heilongjiang International Exhibition Center.

Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the 3rd China Harbin Fair received 1006 trading delegations with more than 5000 foreign business people from 18 Eastern European countries and regions. Opinion was exchanged and relevant agreements were signed for mutual further economic and trade cooperation.

Great achievement and breakthrough have been obtained along with trade contracts, economic and technical contracts signed valued at US$ 6.279 billion, which increased by 135 percent over the previous fair.

The projects signed for barter trade, trade by cash, economic and technical cooperation have grown simultaneously and amounted to 1929 contracts, 290 projects more than the previous one. The concluded contracts on import and export trade amounted to US$ 2.53 billion (including export contracts valued at US$14.66 million by cash), and import contracts amounted to US$2.98 Billion, as well as economic and technical cooperation contracts amounted to US$780 million, in which, there were 9 projects over US$10 million and 2 projects over US$100 million for its value of contracts.

This fair has such characteristics as follows:

With attendance of a lot of companies and wider range of contracts signed; early transaction with high quality contracts and customers; high standard of negotiation, flexible methods of concluding a deal; high standard of exhibition decoration, high commodity quality. Just as appraised by Mr. Shi Guangsheng, the Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, he said that China Harbin Fair was held better and better, it has entered a grown period and is gradually becoming " The window of dealings with outside world" from Northern China.

Main Concluded Projects

1. Heilongjiang International Corporation for Engineering & Technical Cooperation signed the contract on contracting project for a thermal power station in Russia.

2. Heilongjiang Orient International Corporation for Economic & Technological Cooperation signed the contract on contracting project for foundation works of International Trade Mansion in Russia.

3. Three trading agreements with total value of 5 million US dollars were signed between Harbin Foreign Trade Corporation and one Russian company, meanwhile an agreement on selling marble was also signed with Moscow part.

4. Two barter trade contracts with value of 6 million Swiss Francs were signed between China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation and Russia part.
